Corporate Social Responsibility

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR ) is considered an integral part of any business. At Rentokil we are committed to aligning our business strategies with CSR activities.

We have developed a full range of policies on environmental pest control, health & safety and employee & customer relations –these provide clarity and focus in our execution of these CSR activities.

Best practice standards are deployed in all activities.

Rentokil selects its CSR activities by using criteria such as nature of business, contribution to society, contribution to the environment etc

The Rentokil team is pro-active in identifying these needs and acting on them.

A number of CSR activities have been conducted in various regions –

Rat Alert Project

This project is being run by an NGO, 'Men on the side of the road'.

The project aims at creating employment opportunities for the unemployed.

The project has addition benefits of improving socio-economic conditions and the environment at large. This operation involves the volunteers capturing the rats, using a model that has been successfully implemented in other countries.  Once captured the rats are then disposed of in an environmentally safe manner.

The Municipality has welcomed this initiative and has given it its full support.

Khayletisha Project

This project is a skills and development project. Rentokil provides technical training together with a skills development program to a local pest control company. The company, ASE, is a 100% BEE company which employees local residents. The company has further won the tender with the local municipality to provide pest control services in Khayletish, (Cape Town).

Rentokil will be assisting with the installation process of the project as well as ongoing training and development. The local residential committee has expressed their gratitude for this initiative.
